Heat, drought, and heavy rainfall in focus at the ExtremeWeatherCongress

From September 24 to 26, 2025, around 700 experts from meteorology, science, urban planning, politics, and media gathered at HafenCityUniversity Hamburg for the 15th ExtremWetterKongress (Extreme Weather Congress, EWK) and the Climate Management Conference (KMT). Organized by meteorologist Frank Böttcher, the congress is considered a key platform for exchanging knowledge about the causes, impacts, and adaptation strategies related to extreme weather events.
