The topics of the DKRZ contributions covered a wide range of activities within NFDI4Earth, including semantic tools, knowledge management, user support, and the long-term archiving of research data.

Talk by Andrea Lammert. On 27 May, Andrea Lammert and Ivonne Anders organized the pre-event workshop “BITS & Pieces – Exploring Semantic Tools in Earth System Science.” During the workshop, Andrej Fast demonstrated how climate data can be displayed directly on the DKRZ touch table using the the Gridlook application and how interested parties can reproduce this interactive display on their smartphones.

On May 28, Ivonne Anders and Andrea Lammert (both DKRZ), together with Jie Xu and Dominic Hezel (both Goethe University Frankfurt), hosted a workshop on the future of the "NFDI4Earth Living Handbook." In a small-group setting, particular focus was placed on compiling those tasks that — by the end of the project term in September — could lay a solid foundation for the second project phase, commencing in October 2026.

On the final day of the event, Andrea Lammert presented activities in the area of user support during the session “Next Steps – New Task Areas.” The presentation focused on supporting users and on exchanging experiences and requirements across the consortium.

In addition, the DKRZ team presented two posters about the topics “User Support Network” and “Interest Group: Long-Term Archiving.”
