Another DKRZ Python Course for Geosciences

The course included a short introduction to Linux, information about Jupyterhub, the use of notebooks and Python Language. Further contents of the course were the packages NumPy and Xarray, as well as data analysis with python-CDO and visualization with Matplotlib/Cartopy. The 36 participants were able to apply their new knowledge working on serveral tasks within the sessions. The tutor team - consisting of Ralf Müller, Marco Kulüke, Fabian Wachsmann, Caroline Arnold, Karin Meier-Fleischer (all DKRZ) as well as Jannek Squar (UniHH/WR) - was ready to answer arising questions directly. This was confirmed by the high participation quote and positive feedback.

The next Python course for beginners is planned for October 2022 and will be announced again via https://indico.dkrz.de.
