One of the interior walls of the containers looks like computing racks of our high performance computing system. The research carried out by DKRZ employees and scientific users of DKRZ is symbolically depicted by plans, photographs, pictures, visualizations as well as journal papers and notes on a white board. On a touch screen monitor, visitors can interactively choose between several visualizations of climate simulations. These were carried out with the climate model MPI-ESM for the CMIP-simulation on the DKRZ supercomputer.

The world's fair EXPO was inaugurated on 1st May in Milan, Italy, and will open its doors until 31st October 2015. This year’s exhibition will be themed around the topic „Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life“ and will give answers to the big challenge of future world nutrition.
