The FUTURA (Future of Climate Change Scenarios of the Earth System) project aims to bring together key European modeling and infrastructure initiatives into a sustainable, integrated “climate pathways system.” This system links socio-economic emission scenarios, Earth system models, regional climate projections, and impact models to provide a consistent and responsive database for the IPCC’s Seventh Assessment Report (AR7) and international climate policy.
The DKRZ is focusing its activities in the project primarily on the specialized infrastructure for high-resolution climate model data.
