From 9.30 to 12.00 a.m. interested pupil can gain an insight into the working life of climate researchers. And they will get answers to questions like “What exactly belongs to the climate system?”, “How do climate model work?” or “Why do you need high performance computers for climate modeling?”. A guided tour to DKRZ supercomputer and archive is also planned.
Whoever wants to become a climate researcher will have the chance to discuss with young scientists which study or training to choose and which day-to-day-work they can expect.
