The project "West African Science Service Center on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL)" is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and aims to strengthen the research, teaching, policy-making capacity and competence of West African countries with regard to climate change and its impacts. DKRZ with its WDC Climate is involved in the project in the area of climate model data management and evaluation, planning of the corresponding infrastructures on site and its experience in regional climate modeling.
