The goal of UDAG is to provide up-to-date regional climate projections for use in the German adaptation strategy. UDAG will therefore provide a quality-checked ensemble of regional climate projections for Europe (at 12 km) and for "hydrological Germany" (at 3 km) using the regional climate model ICON-CLM for the CMIP6 scenarios SSP3-7.0 and SSP1-2.6. In a second step, regional climate projections covering the bandwidth of the 12-km ensemble are selected and downscaled to 3 km using ICON-CLM. In this way, an ensemble of convection-capable climate projections is created for the entire "hydrological Germany" with high temporal and spatial resolution. DKRZ coordinates the post-processing and publication of the climate simulation data, including the standardization and quality control of the data.
