The aim of EUDAT2020 is to create a European data infrastructure across the individual scientific disciplines that will support the entire data lifecycle in the scientific work process. The starting point is the analysis and consolidation of already existing data infrastructures in individual subject disciplines. For this the expertise in climate data infrastructures of DKRZ and other ENES partners is needed. In particular, the international CMIP5/CORDEX data federation is seen as a central contribution to EUDAT. DKRZ' work focuses on the development of a data catalog (B2Find) and the integration of Persistent Identifiers (PID) into the EUDAT2020 data infrastructure. The FP7 project EUDAT (European Data) officially started its work on 01.10.2011, the follow-up project EUDAT2020 started on 01.03.2015.
