Organized by the Swiss National Supercomputing Center CSCS and openhackathons.org, eight teams from a wide range of applications with mentors from CSCS and NVIDIA optimized their programs on GPUs. A joint team from DKRZ and MPI-M ported further parts of ICON to graphics processors: A large part of HAMOCC could be ported and the tracer transport in the ocean could be further improved.
