The DKRZ long-term archive has assigned its 1000th DOI

This dataset  DOI 10.1594/WDCC/OceanRAIN-M provides in-situ along-track shipboard data of precipitation, evaporation and the resulting freshwater flux in one-minute resolution over the global oceans.

Published Data at WDCC is granted permanent access by the assigned unique persistent identifier DOI. Quality Assurance of data and metadata plays an important role in the data publication process at WDCC, which is crucial for data re-use. DataCite DOI data is formally citable in scientific paper publications along with literature citations and can be entered in the data creator's list of scientific publications.
