- DKRZ is divided into departments for application support, data management, systems and administration.
- The managing director of DKRZ, Prof. Dr. Thomas Ludwig, also heads the scientific computing group of the department of informatics at the University of Hamburg.
- DKRZ's partners and networks include a variety of national and international entities in the area of climate sciences as well as of computer sciences.
