Programming languages form the base for automated data processing and complex algorithms of the digital world. Learning programming languages is easy when besides theoretical knowledge hands-on sessions are offered. Within the project “Interactive C-programming course” the group „Scientific computing“ developed interactive learning material about the programming language C. Using this material, online students will be able to compile an infrastructure to program and execute program codes via web browser. Based on that, further interactive lectures with different level of difficulty and for different target groups are available.

A prototype of the C-course has been published for university lectures. For the further future it is planned to extent the course for parallel programming with OpenMP and MPI.
