On February 24th 2012, the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology (MPI-M) and the German Climate Computing Center (DKRZ) led an informational meeting in completion of the BMBF funded consortia simulations concerning CMIP5 (Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5). In this meeting, researchers and the public were informed about the project and initial results. The calculations were carried out for the German science community and will serve as a contribution to the AR5 (Assessment Report 5) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
The second part of the meeting consisted of a DKRZ-led workshop for scientific data users who will use this data for their own research projects.
