NFDI4Earth addresses the digital needs in research data management for the Earth System Sciences. Its scientists cooperate in international and interdisciplinary networks with the overarching aim to understand the functioning and interactions within the Earth system and address the multiple challenges of global change.
The aim of NFDI4Earth in the second phase is on the integration of its services more deeply into Earth System research and education, strengthening community engagement, advancing AI-enabled solutions, and securing long-term impact.
As a co-applicant institution, DKRZ co-leads the Task Area 3 - 2PROVIDE4ALL, which focuses on expanding and further developing the NFDI4Earth Service Portfolio. It strengthens the integration of services and infrastructures, improves access and usability and support for researchers, and establishes the technical foundations for sustainable operation.
