Directions to DKRZ

By Train:

• From main station ("Hauptbahnhof") take subway line U2 (red line, direction to Niendorf-Nord) to Schlump station (7 minutes). After a 10 minute walk, you reach the back entrance of DKRZ on "Laufgraben".
• From railway station "Dammtor" you may want to use a bus, line No. 5 or 4 (direction to "Niendorf-Markt" or "Wildacker"). Leave the bus at station "Grindelhof" (2 stops) and take a 5 minute walk to the DKRZ's main entrance on "Bundesstraße".

By Airplane:

From Hamburg Airport take train S1 to "Ohlsdorf". Change to subway line U1 (direction "Jungfernstieg") to station "Kellinghusenstraße". Change to subway line U3 (direction "Schlump/Hauptbahnhof") to "Schlump" station. After a 10 minute walk you reach the back entrance of DKRZ on "Laufgraben".

By Car

It can be quite hard to find a parking spot near DKRZ. So we recommend that you leave your car at one of the Park+Ride parking lots of HVV and then take public transport to Schlump station. After a 10 minute walk you reach the back entrance of DKRZ on Laufgraben.

Lodging

DKRZ is located in the vicinity of the Max-Planck-Institute for Meteorology. You can book any of their recommended hotels for your visit at DKRZ.
