NEDIB

The NEDIB project (Sustainable Establishment of the German IPCC DDC Contribution) aims to make the data set for the IPCC’s Seventh Assessment Report (AR7) and the associated new phase of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP7) available in a stable, transparent, and reusable format. In cooperation with the DWD, the DKRZ is responsible for providing, modernizing, and operating the technical infrastructure for storing and archiving up to 200 TB of climate model data. Beyond operational support for the AR7 cycle, a sustainability concept is being developed under the leadership of the project partners to ensure long-term stewardship and funding of the German DDC contribution for future cycles.
