The ESMO INITIATES project strengthens strategic collaboration between the German climate research community and leading experts from the United States and Canada. The project focuses on the application of artificial intelligence to develop efficient climate emulators, as well as on the standardization of observational data and associated uncertainties. Expert workshops facilitate intensive knowledge transfer to develop roadmaps for future international collaborations.
As the host of the ESMO project office, the DKRZ serves as the central operational hub.
