The “Destination Earth Climate Digital Twin Phase 3” project is advancing the development of a high-resolution, integrated framework for climate simulations to support climate research, impact assessment, and evidence-based decision-making. Building on previous phases, it focuses on improving model performance, workflow robustness, and user-oriented services, while simultaneously strengthening the integration of Earth system components and data-driven methods. Phase 3 also emphasizes sustainable software development, operational readiness, and closer collaboration between developers, research software engineers, and users to ensure that the Climate DT can serve as a reliable and scalable platform for scientific and societal applications.
