Python for beginners: DKRZ offers practical online training

Over 60 participants registered for the ninth edition of this training. On the first day, they received an introduction to Linux and JupyterHub as a tool for the following course days.

The remaining four days focused on the basic concepts of the Python programming language, as well as working with the NumPy, Xarray, Matplotlib, and Cartopy packages. The interactive Jupyter notebooks offered numerous practical exercises that helped participants directly apply what they had learned.

The course format, which allowed for questions and individual support from the DKRZ team, was once again particularly well-received.
