Python course for geosciences

The 60 participants first received an introduction to working with Linux and Jupyterhub, which enabled them to use the interactive Jupyter notebooks developed for the course to learn Python on the high-performance computer Levante at DKRZ. In addition to the Python packages NumPy and Xarray, visualization with Matplotlib and Cartopy was also explained. The participants were able to use and understand what they had learned immediately by means of many interactive tasks. The 6-person Python course team helped with any questions that arose.
