DKRZ employee receives NASA Award

She received the award for her outstanding work in the NASA Earth eXchange Global Daily Downscaled Projections CMIP6 project. This project derived high-resolution, daily climate projections from the global model data of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) through statistical downscaling. The archive created by NASA Earth eXchange (NEX) represents a significant contribution to international climate research.

Bridget Thrasher has been part of the DKRZ team since February 2025. As a Data Steward in the Data Management department, she supports the preparation of the German contribution to CMIP7 as part of the CAP7 project. As a long-time user of the CMIP datasets, she is particularly looking forward to contributing to CMIP7 from a new perspective and improving the products and user experience for the next generation of researchers.
