Dear users,

Within the efforts of DKRZ to support its users in the efficient use of its supercomputing systems, we offer a Program Analysis and Tuning Workshop. The workshop will be held at DKRZ in Hamburg on 25th and 26th of June 2012. It is organized by the DKRZ team together with developers of SCALASCA from Jülich Supercomputing Centre and VAMPIR from TU Dresden.

The focus of the workshop is to enhance the performance of user's real world applications by hands on profiling and tracing of the codes with program analysis and tracing tools. During this, the user will have the chance to see the complete workflow of using performance analysis tools and the benefits of it.  Moreover, upcoming problems when using these tools can be discussed with the tool developers in order to get solution and valuable feedback for the performance  improvements of the applications.

Basic requirement is that participants have knowledge about parallel programming with MPI and/or OpenMP. Furthermore, it is desired that users have an application running on IBM Power6 cluster  "blizzard" at DKRZ, which they want to analyze with respect to performance optimization.

For organizational reasons we kindly ask you to register by email to YWRhbWlkaXNAZGtyei5kZQ== until Sunday 3rd of June 2012
