Redmine is a free and open source, web-based project management and issue tracking tool.

Redmine is open for all DKRZ users and also allows to cooperate with external partners who do not have an account at DKRZ.

Hence, one has two possible option for using Redmine:

  1. user with an existing DKRZ account: contact your project administrator and ask to activate the "Redmine" permission for your account on luv.dkrz.de before you login to redmine.dkrz.de using the LDAP credentials.
  2. user without a DKRZ account: you need to register directly on redmine.dkrz.de (at the top right corner) and create a login and pswd. Once your account is activated by one of the redmine admins, you can login.

Please contact .de if you encounter any problems with the login.

You can access the DKRZ Redmine website at https://redmine.dkrz.de

New users:

  • are not allowed to create own projects by default. Please contact  if you need a new project. You will then be assigned the 'ProjectManager' role that allows to modify the project settings, manage the members of the project and create new subprojects.
  • can be added as member to existing projects; ask the ProjectManager of an existing project to add your account as 'Developer', 'Reporter' or 'Collaborator'
