DKRZ Tech Talk: The Machine Learning Teams at DKRZ

Oct 06, 2020

Dear users,

it is our great pleasure to announce next week’s Tech Talk. On Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 15:15, the DKRZ Machine learning teams around Christopher Kadow and Tobias Weigel will introduce themselves and their services.

Machine Learning is a new thematic area at DKRZ that is targeted by two groups recently established - one for AI/ML research activities in the climate community around the DKRZ, the other as the AIM team at DKRZ providing guidance to any Helmholtz users who wish to explore and apply AI/ML methods to challenges with data from the areas of Earth and Environment. The talk will give a brief overview of general services we offer and highlight a few practical showcases that illustrate the opportunities and limits of ML approaches.
