Long Term Acrchive for internal Users

Please follow the steps below if you want to place data into the long term archive (LTA) at DKRZ:

1) Create a list of files to be copied into our LTA. Files residing either in HPSS or blizzard:/work are applicable.

2) Contact your master user or the project manager to approve this process. Together with the DKRZ user consultancy she/he will file your request and approve it.

4) You will receive a notification once your data has been copied into the LTA and the metadata has been published within CERA. Metadata will be publically available on the internet, all data will be freely accessible for people with DKRZ or CERA account.

The DKRZ department 'Datamangement' will guide you through the complete process and will make recommendations for any upcoming questions (e.g. archiving format etc.) during the archiving process.
