DKRZ participated in the IPv6 tests
June 8th was the first international test day for the IPv6 technology. On this day, users could access large sites such as Google, Facebook or Yahoo using the new IPv6 protocol, and also the DKRZ website through http://ipv6.dkrz.de. About 50% of all DKRZ web users used the new service. Since parallel operation of both protocols worked flawlessly, the DKRZ website will continue to be accessible through both protocols.
